I love SN cards but not part of the base set- they should be for parallels and inserts, or, conversely, numbered but not short printed. I'm the kind of guy who wants to get every card made...I know it'll never happen, but that way no matter what I get, I am happy. He and Kane are magic together.Hackenbushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15507810776309048794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8858926958713988123.post-14623567209069574742017-01-30T21:51:51.688-05:002017-01-30T21:51:51.688-05:00I agree with you about the UD portraits - they'...I agree with you about the UD portraits - they're kinda blah. Short prints are very frustrating, but they're also part of the appeal of UD flagship. It was a hot mess when they started (check out 2002-03 <a href="http://www.comc.com/Cards/Hockey/2002-03/Upper_Deck_-_Base/244/Mats_Sundin/474847" rel="nofollow">"Memorable Seasons"</a> SSP's) but now that they settled on 50 RC's per series it's a little easier to handle. I'd say about 90% of the RC's can be found for $2-3 or less on the secondary market. That said, there's nothing wrong with collecting the base set only. <br /><br />The Dougie Hamilton is my favorite card in this post. I love the OPC retro design.
