Serially Numbered NHL cards

I have a serious Serial Number addiction. I love them a lot, and it doesn't really matter who/what the subject is, as long as it's SN, I'm happy. Naturally, since this was my first COMC order since I became a hockey fan, I had to get some hockey cards, and I literally sorted by Serially Numbered- Lowest price and just picked off a bunch of them just because they were SN, cheap and I didn't have them. I didn't chase specific players or teams or sets, I just picked up as many as I could.

I had highlighted him in my series of new people added!
P.K. Subban is probably my #2 NHLer after Henrik Lundqvist. I added two SN cards of him in this order, and this one is MUCH nicer in hand than in scan. The blue sparkles like nothing I've ever seen on a card (it looks more like a custom car color) and the back texture is unusual, but interesting. This is SN 02/99.

I believe this may be the first card with the SN being 1984 in my collection...the year I was born.

 First NHL Platinum Medallion

I mostly just went through and picked up cheap cards. It didn't matter to me so much who was on the card, or what set they were from, although I did manage to add new people and sets anyway. Since I'm still so new to NHL collecting, it's not really much of a surprise. Since I love the concept of serially numbering so much, I'm happy to add them no matter who is on the card.

    1. Thanks! I like those more than the base cards actually. I need to look and see if they did any other colors as parallels.

    2. If I remember correctly there are also Gold, Sapphire and Emerald versions of that set. Now that would be a sweet looking rainbow to put together.

    3. Oh yeah, I'll definitely need an emerald or two! Green has always been my favorite color.
