100 Word Challenge

$30 a Week Robert had a 100 Word Challenge. He sends you cards, you write 100 words about them. Hard for me. Like to type.

Welcome to Hockey!

Gold Parallel of Ray Bourque. Like 1992-93 set a lot.

Etched John Vanbiesbrouck.  Neat helmet!

Shiny Brett Hull. Think first of this uniform in my collection.

Pavel Bure Fire on Ice. This card GLOWS. Looks like it is lit up with neon lights. Think may be my favorite.

Vintage Bryan Trottier! My third card from 1979-80, what a great design.  Always love vintage, rare to see non-white border in 70s.

Thank you!

  2. Nice cards, and a nice job with your 100 words. I'm bummed I missed out on this challenge.. not so much for the free cards, but because I used to be an aspiring novelist (hence the title of my other blog)

One of the writing exercises I used to do was a 100-word story. Not easy...but it might have been easier with cardboard subjects.

The Trottier fascinates me, I know they meant "most points in a period, but I read it like Most Points. PERIOD.

    1. I read it like that too. Seems more forceful. I like it!
I wasn't sure I could do the challenge either, because I usually write a small novel in each post!😁

  3. Cute...you used Word to count the words. I used fingers and toes...after gathering five friends.

I like the Beezer best, he'll always be a Ranger to me.

    1. I regularly use my fingers to count...I don't really trust anything else, hah!

  4. Those Blues uniforms. What a total embarrassment those sweaters were. And to think The Great One's short stint in St. Louis was in that thing.

    1. I'm sure it can't be the worst design ever, it doesn't look too bad to me. But the 1990s are my favorite decade ever.

  5. A cool idea and you nailed the 100 words! I have your B. League 2nd Half Box by the way. No hurry on it though, let me know if and when you still want it!

    1. Oh yeah! I'll send it along when I get back on my real computer later, instead of my tablet

  6. Well done Billy! I know it wasn't easy to limit yourself to 100 words (had a tough time when I did my post).
