What are the odds that these two photos would be used for the same person's cards, several years apart?

It's not like Wayne Cooper even has all that many cards to choose from, either. Yet, here he is, years apart, in almost the exact same position, with Benoit Benjamin attempting to block his shot! Although the uniforms are different, Benjamin was with the Clippers in both photos.
I'm not sure I would have noticed this had I not scanned both cards in the same day. (May 7th, in case anyone is wondering). I've had both cards for at least 15 years and never noticed before...
I thought this was unique and odd enough to get a post out of it.
Wow, that is a neat coincidence!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteNice find, Billy.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what are the odds? You are probably the first person to discover this. Cool!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's pretty awesome. I wonder how many other basketball card collectors noticed this... or if Mr. Cooper himself ever did.
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys thought this was cool as well...
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a neat coincidence, nice catch!
ReplyDeleteGreat eye, Billy! Could you imagine if a member of the crowd was also the same in both cards? That would turn it into an episode of The Twilight Zone.
ReplyDeleteThat borders on being surreal. Crazy cool find, Billy
ReplyDeleteWow eerie but in a cool kind of way. At first I thought it was the same photo and then photoshopped they are so close. A close detailed study of them shows they are different though.
ReplyDeleteAmazing catch. The odds would have to be crazy
