Serially Numbered NASCAR cards

After the previously posted Serially Numbered additions posts, it should be no surprise that a NASCAR post was in the cards, so to speak, as well.
 That's a DODGE, Press Pass!
These two cards are printed on clear plastic stock, and come from 2012 Showcase. It's only a 10 card set so completion is not outside the realm of possibility. Not sure why Press Pass blacked out the windshield on the cards, though.

I have very, very few cards from 1999 SP Authentic. This is my 4th from the entire set. John is currently fighting stage 4 colon cancer :(
The Skidmark design is made of ground up tire.

This Tim Flock card was the last I purchased before shipping, yet came in the middle of the box.

I had actually purchased this one so I could have National Treasures represented in my collection, but then I got that triple relic from Wes's World Cup of Trading. Even though this is SN25, it's actually the base card.
Gold parallel of 2011 Showcase.  Starting in 2018, Martin truex jr will be my #1 driver in Cup

  1. Man, I love that "No. 43 STP Pontiac" card, even if it really is a Dodge. If they had the license to feature the card, but not Richard Petty - which might be the case since they don't mention him on the front - maybe they blacked out the windshield so that you can't see The King driving the car... That's just a guess.

    1. (Sigh)... If they had the license to feature the ***CAR*** but not Petty...

As long as I'm adding another comment, I also meant to say that even if the licensing issues don't apply to all of the drivers in that insert set, maybe they did it across the board for consistency.

    2. They did have his license, though. Press Pass just did some odd stuff!

  2. I need to pick up a John Andretti autograph for my Indy 500 autograph collection. I still remember when he came to our office when I worked for Lids. One of our co-founders is married into the family (John's sister, I believe).

    1. Cool! He seems like a genuinely nice guy. I can't remember if I have his autograph or not, and my collection files are three hours away from where I am right now so I can't even check.

  3. I think the Bass Pro Shop car was Martin Truex Jr? Can't remember off the top of my head but I always like the cars sponsored by Bass Pro Shop. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yes, they were on his car while he was with DEI and now again sometimes with Furniture Row.
